Job Title: Workstation Upgrade Technician

Overview:

Our Client is undertaking a large-scale project to upgrade its workstation fleet from Windows 10 to Windows 11. With approximately 5,000 desktops and laptops requiring upgrades, this role will be critical in ensuring a smooth transition across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Upgrade and reimage workstations from Windows 10 to Windows 11 using PXE boot deployment via BigFix OS Deployment.
• Install necessary drivers, applications, and configurations to match users’ previous setups.
• Physically replace older hardware with new equipment as needed.
• Assist end users with basic computer usage questions, including MS Office, installing printers, and navigating applications.
• Swap out and configure computer hardware and peripherals.
• Perform software and driver installations as required.
• Travel between locations to support upgrade initiatives, primarily at Memorial Hospital (South Bend) and Elkhart General Hospital (Elkhart), with occasional visits to offsite clinics.
• Follow internal processes and best practices as outlined in provided training.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.
• Experience providing basic end-user support.
• Ability to install and configure software and drivers within Windows.
• Comfort working with and replacing computer hardware and peripherals.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel between sites as needed.
