Patient Access Director | Columbia, MO | $85,000–$105,000 + Bonus DOE | 100% Onsite

Are you a proven leader seeking your next opportunity in patient access management? Our client in Columbia, Missouri is looking for an onsite Patient Access Director who will oversee a high-performing team and optimize patient services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop two direct reports and provide oversight for 38 indirect reports to ensure exceptional patient access operations.
• Enhance workflows related to admissions, registration, and insurance authorizations in a dynamic healthcare provider setting.
• Apply key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor, drive, and track team performance and departmental outcomes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical and finance operations to streamline processes and deliver excellent service.
• Manage departmental financials, budgets, and projects, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and internal standards.
• Foster team engagement, open communication, and a culture of outstanding customer service.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 3+ years of proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• At least 3+ years of direct Patient Access experience.
• Background in healthcare provider finance operations or similar service environment required.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging KPIs to drive and measure team and process success.
• Solid financial and project management skills with a focus on operational excellence.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
• Comfortable working effectively in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
• Must be able to work 100% onsite in Columbia, MO.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive base salary of $85,000–$105,000, commensurate with experience, plus bonus eligibility.
