Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an expert in construction underwriting to become part of an esteemed organization. Assess the terms and conditions for both new and renewing accounts by gathering, reviewing, and analyzing account data while conducting comprehensive risk evaluations consistent with the defined risk appetite. Cultivate and showcase in-depth knowledge and skills related to specific lines of business. Keep an ongoing watch on trends and chances within the line of business. Actively engage with suitable carriers, wholesalers, and cedants, take part in customer account renewal discussions and underwriting assessments, and deliver high-quality customer service. Create internal pricing and modeling instruments to determine suitable pricing options for accounts across various lines and structures. Negotiate effectively with carriers and clients, provide valuable feedback, and suggest alternative risk solutions when necessary. Present to senior management regarding more significant accounts, clearly and cohesively conveying your thought processes. Implement strategic growth initiatives that align with premium and profitability goals, alongside maintaining service excellence. Collaborate efficiently with Account Management, Actuarial, Claims, Legal, and Accounting teams on matters related to pricing, contract language, premium and loss entries, and claims to guarantee account profitability and adherence to corporate policies.
Requirements :
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a similar field from an accredited institution is required. Applicants should have at least 8-10 years of experience as an insurance underwriter, particularly with a focus on large casualty construction accounts. Familiarity with pro rata and excess of loss business ratings and analysis is advantageous. Knowledge of insurance policies or reinsurance agreements, along with related market practices, is essential. Strong mathematical skills and excellent computer proficiency are also required.
