“Lead the Process. Perfect the Print"

We’re hiring a Prepress Manager to lead our prepress team and ensure flawless print production. In this role, you’ll oversee artwork creation, platemaking, and color management for flexographic and digital presses while driving process improvements and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily operations of the prepress department
• Manage the production of artwork proofs, revisions, new artwork creation, and platemaking for flexographic and digital presses
• Evaluate incoming artwork for printability, ensuring it meets production capabilities and quoted specifications
• Review and preflight customer-supplied files to prepare them for press
• Collaborate with customers, customer service, and vendors to ensure smooth file preparation and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Oversee digital/thermal platemaking processes and manage artwork for HP digital presses
• Maintain accurate color reproduction, including the creation of press curves and color profiles for both flexo and digital workflows
• Ensure all projects meet deadlines in alignment with the production schedule
• Train and develop team members in software tools, production processes, and best practices
• Research and evaluate new technologies and software solutions for possible integration into existing workflows
• Monitor and maintain consumables inventory for the department

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a prepress production environment, preferably in flexo and/or digital printing
• Strong proficiency with Esko ArtPro+, Automation Engine, and Color Engine
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite with a solid understanding of PDF workflows
• Skilled in color management, including profile creation, adherence to color standards, and proofing techniques
• Experienced in digital and thermal platemaking processes for flexographic printing
• Familiarity with HP digital press workflows
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud and Mac software
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work collaboratively across teams (internal & external)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Knowledge in CERM a plus
