Job Title: SDET Playwright

Duration: Long Term Contract

Location: 4 days/week in Columbus, Ohio

Required Skills

- 3 6+ years in SDET/QA Automation roles focused on Playwright tool

- Hands-on experience with Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript or any similar tools/frameworks.

- Understanding POS system is preferrable.

- CI/CD experience: configuring pipelines, test reporting, and gating on failures/coverage.

- Familiarity with mocking and test data management.

- Solid debugging skills across logs, traces, and network traffic; comfort with curl and CLI tooling.

Candidates will need to take a hacker rank sent by the client for the first round Need candidates who are local to Ohio and can go onsite 4 days/week

Playwright is a MUST HAVE - please do not just have candidates add it in their resume - they need solid experience with it in previous roles POS system is a huge plus - more likely to get the job

Summary:

We''re seeking a SDET to design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable test automation for new POS System. You will leverage Playwright''s capabilities and build test suite for the new System. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and test automation using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) .

- Build reusable testing libraries/utilities for authentication (OAuth2/JWT), pagination, idempotency, rate limiting, and error handling.

- Define test strategy and coverage across unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end service tests; prioritize critical paths.

- Create robust negative, edge, and resilience tests use mocking where needed.

- Manage test data and environments (seeding, fixtures, synthetic data); keep tests deterministic and fast.

- Integrate tests into CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure Devops): parallel runs, environment provisioning,

- Participate in design and code reviews, advocate for testability, and document frameworks, patterns, and runbooks.

- Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and be an effective, dependable team player.

Qualifications:
