Job Title: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) – Long Term Care

Facility: Mohawk Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center

Location: Utica, New York, 13502

Employment Type: 13 Weeks

Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Hours per Week: 37.5 hours/week

Weekends : Every other weekend, if required

Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our long-term care team in a 40-bed unit. This role requires flexibility to float between units within the same building and provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including residents with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), orthopedic conditions, dementia, and memory care needs. The CNA will assist residents with activities of daily living, support nursing staff, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment while accurately documenting care in the PointClickCare EMR system.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (Long Term Care experience preferred)
• Active New York State CNA license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Ability to float to all units within the same building as needed
• Experience or willingness to work with MS, orthopedic, dementia, and memory care populations
• Familiarity with PointClickCare EMR system preferred
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
