Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Java Developer, Mid-Level (Java / Spring Boot, Reactive programming, Embedded unit test) to join our growing team developing global video streaming platforms that handle billions of requests and millions of users. The team designs, develops, and delivers innovative products and services that are essential to bringing Internet, TV and voice to more than 28 million residential and business customers.

This is a Full-Time position working on a remote basis.

The annual base salary range is $70,000 - $80,000. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for our full list of benefits linked here .

Responsibilities:

• Translate high-level requirements to actionable tasks/deliverables.
• Produce high-quality software that is unit-tested, code reviewed, and continuously integrated.
• Collaborate with QA in test planning and test coverage.
• Collaborate with DevOps and CI/CD in operational visibility, triaging incidents, and deployment planning.
• Engage and collaborate actively with immediate scrum team members, as well as other teams, to advance understanding of full architecture, assist with code reviews, and participate in ideation around topics like architecture or bug fixes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering with software development and deployment experience or equivalent work experience.
• Must have 3+ years of experience building RESTful microservices using Java, Spring Boot, etc.
• Must have experience with Reactive Programming (Reactor), Spring WebFlux, Hydra Framework, etc.
• Must have experience with Unit testing using JUnit, Mockito, etc., and experience using static code analysis tools.
• Must have knowledge or familiarity with DevOps tools like Concourse, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, etc., and should collaborate with DevOps teams for builds, deployments, and additional infrastructure setup.
• Must be knowledgeable on cloud technologies such as AWS or equivalent (Azure, GCP).
• Must be familiar with NoSQL databases and query languages.
• Should be able to have a good understanding of securing data in transit and at rest.
• Should have experience with caching technologies like Redis, and database technologies like MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Should have experience with observability best practice for highly scaled and microservice applications, as well as experience with Grafana, Prometheus and ELK.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills utilizing available monitoring tooling.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
