Title: FLEX Build/Fleet Expansion Technician
Location: Palo Alto, CA (Onsite)
Long Term Duration: 12+ Months
Pay Rate: $35-$40/hr on C2C or W2
Job Description:
The primary responsibility of this role is to perform the duties of a Vehicle Build Technician. The ideal candidate will work closely with the NPI Manager to build Fleet Expansion vehicles and provide ongoing fleet maintenance support..
Responsibilities:
● Provide technical support in the assembly, modification, testing, and troubleshooting of FLEX vehicles, including related assemblies and sub-assemblies.
● Fabricate and fit check mounts and brackets and electrical harnesses as needed
● Support testing and configuration of ADAS components, including cameras, LIDARs, and RADARs
● Provide troubleshooting and maintenance support of fleet vehicles and must be available for travel throughout the United States and abroad, as dictated by project needs.
● Assist with shop organization and cleanup.
● Provide support for inventory management.
High proficiency in assembling and testing electromechanical components.
● Experienced in electrical harness fabrication – soldering and cable termination.
● Competence in metal fabrication tasks, including sheet metal work, drilling, cutting, rivet nut installation, and frame assembly (e.g., 80/20).
● Familiarity with Windows and Linux-based computer systems is a plus, including basic troubleshooting and software usage.
