Job Description

LHH is working with a leading international tobacco product manufacturer looking for Account Managers to join their team! The Account Manager will ensure their clients understand the relevance of the tobacco category to their business, how it drives sales of other categories, and the opportunities that tobacco offers their business.

*The candidate must live in Boise, Idaho. This is a remote role, but you will be traveling within the area.*

The Account Manager will have to be comfortable delivering business information to influence and maximize the opportunity of tobacco in other categories across the store and be able to implement a contract of mutual benefit. The ideal candidate wants a job where they can communicate and build relationships with clients, someone who likes to be out and about visiting clients during the day, and someone who has outside sales experience in consumer sales.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, or be heavily involved in the setting of all respective territory objectives in relation to the market priorities
  • Arranges appointment times with customers to ensure dedicated time for business presentations
  • Builds rapport and maintains relationships with current clients
  • Analyzes factual data from the respective territory to support local knowledge and identify opportunities for future planning
  • Monitors competitor, retailer, and all category activity (not just the Tobacco category) in the store
  • Provides regular updates to prioritized customers on total tobacco performance and presents opportunities for future growth for both parties
  • Educates and influences outlets on the best way to manage the tobacco category
  • Negotiates autonomously, sells in/out contracts to the benefit of the company in their respective territory
  • Proactively predicts, plans, and handles objections as a way to ask probing questions and build understanding to inform a better close

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of outside sales experience in Tobacco or CPG sales
  • Great communication skills with a desire to foster relationships
  • Ability to travel during the day with 3 or more overnights per week

Salary: The anticipated salary range for this position is between $70k and $77k, with an expected bonus of up to 12%
