As a Web Content Developer , your hands-on web expertise will help deliver compelling digital experiences for global audiences. You’ll be central to technical execution by building, maintaining, and evolving high-impact marketing pages in a culture where new ideas and continuous improvement are always welcome.

This opportunity to shape web content and drive development initiatives for a household-name retailer begins as a 6-month W2 contract based onsite in San Francisco , offering competitive benefits and the potential to extend or convert to permanent employment.

Responsibilities

  • Build, update, and maintain website pages using HTML , CSS , and JSON , ensuring engaging content across global marketing sites
  • Own all aspects of web content development, including task deliverables and management of branded marketing materials
  • Partner with brand, production, creative, and marketing teams to deliver seamless web solutions
  • Collaborate with internal developers to implement innovative technical features on digital properties
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and coding issues while overseeing digital asset management and code version control
  • Incorporate visual design and UX requirements into functional and accessible web pages for diverse audiences
  • Assess risks and communicate project status proactively to production and leadership
  • Apply version control tools (like Github) and web production utilities (FTP, Unix CMD, text editors) to streamline site updates
  • Tackle cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility and performance challenges with a user-focused mindset
  • Keep internal documentation precise and current for web processes and standards

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of college or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years in web production and programming, preferably with e-commerce development exposure
  • Mastery of HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, and JSON structure/syntax
  • Familiarity with React, Node.js, Anchor.JS, and object-oriented programming principles is a plus
  • Hands-on knowledge of XML and AJAX
  • Experience using SEO tactics, website accessibility standards, and performance-oriented coding techniques
  • Skilled in Adobe Photoshop and web asset creation
  • Proficient with version control software (such as Github) and standard web production tools (FTP, Unix CMD, text editors)
  • Strong organizational skills; excels at managing multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, collaborative team player who thrives in open and fast-paced environments
