Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable
Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare individual (1040) and small business (1120, 1120S, 1065) federal and state income tax returns
- Gather and organize client financial information to ensure accurate and complete tax filings
- Identify potential tax credits and deductions to minimize client tax liabilities
- Communicate with clients to answer questions, request additional information, and provide updates
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation in compliance with firm and regulatory standards
- Stay current on tax law changes and apply relevant updates to returns
- Provide proactive tax planning services for multiple clients
- Ensure compliance with IRS and state regulations
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Experience preparing individual and business tax returns (3 years preferred)
- Knowledge of tax preparation software (UltraTax), Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
