Staff Accountant
Overview
Our client, a well-established litigation law firm, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Coordinator to oversee financial operations and ensure accurate and efficient management of firm accounts. This role requires in-office presence Monday through Friday and strong experience handling law firm financials, including trust and escrow accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain P&L statements and financial planning reports
- Manage accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P), invoicing, wire payments, and transfers
- Oversee account reconciliations and ensure compliance with audits
- Administer and manage escrow and trust accounts, including IOLA and IOLTA accounts
- Utilize QuickBooks, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems for reporting and analysis
- Provide expert payroll processing through Expert Pays or equivalent systems
- Support attorneys and management with financial insights and recommendations
Qualifications
- Prior law firm financial/accounting experience required
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with accounting software and CRM systems
- Deep knowledge of law firm trust and escrow account management (IOLA & IOLTA)
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
