Position Title: SPED Autism Specialist

Hours: 7:45 AM – 3:00 PM
Hours per Day: 7.25
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Local Pay Range: $40–$50 per hour
Compensation is dependent on qualifications and experience.
We are seeking a dedicated SPED Autism Specialist to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a structured school environment. This role focuses on implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and providing instructional, behavioral, and developmental support. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, patience, and a strong commitment to fostering student growth, communication, and academic success while adhering to special education guidelines and school policies.
ResponsibilitiesSupport students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in alignment with IEP goals
Assist with academic instruction, behavioral interventions, and classroom activities
Implement individualized strategies to promote communication, social skills, and independence
Collaborate with special education teachers, therapists, and school support staff
Monitor student progress and document observations as required
Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Comply with district policies and special education regulations
Required
Experience working with students with autism or special needs
Ability to follow IEPs and behavior support plans
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
Prior experience in a school or special education setting
Training or coursework related to Autism Spectrum Disorder or special education
