Senior Civil Engineer – Land Development

Location: Orlando, FL

Employment Type: Full-Time | Hybrid Flexibility

I’m working with a top-ranked civil engineering and land development firm in Orlando that is actively looking to bring on talented engineers at the Senior Civil Engineer through the Project Manager level. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team working on a wide range of land development projects, including mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential communities, higher education campuses, federal sites, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or support the design and permitting of land development and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents, including reports, specifications, design plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for site/civil design, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utilities.
• Review and interpret topography, hydrology, soil composition, and geologic data to inform planning and design.
• Navigate local, state, and federal land use permitting processes.
• Collaborate with project teams and mentor junior engineers as needed.
• Support construction administration, including plan reviews and field coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• EIT certification required; PE license strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of site/civil engineering experience (senior-level candidates with more experience strongly encouraged to apply).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience in site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and erosion control.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
