School Psychologist – Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Position Type: Full-Time, Contract (Renewable for Following School Years)

Start Date: ASAP

Hours per Week: 32.5

Schedule: Standard school hours (specific hours vary by site)

Caseload: Middle School or High School

Compensation: $50–$55 per hour (W2)

Overview

Aequor Education is seeking a skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to join a collaborative school district team in Woonsocket, Rhode Island .

This is a school-year contract role , beginning immediately, with the potential for renewal in subsequent school years based on performance and district needs.

The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral growth. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess student needs, implement interventions, and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to identify student needs and determine eligibility for services.
• Participate in the development, review, and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) .
• Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services as needed.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
• Contribute to a safe and supportive school climate that fosters learning and growth.

Qualifications

• Active Rhode Island School Psychologist certification .
• Prior experience working with K–12 students preferred; middle or high school experience strongly valued.
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team.
• Commitment to advancing students’ academic and emotional well-being.
