Job Title: Rabbi / Jewish Chaplain (Behavioral Health) – Part-Time Contract
Location: Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, Queens Village, NY (On-site)

About the Role

ND Global Consulting Services, Inc. (NDGCS) is seeking a qualified Rabbi / Jewish Chaplain to provide spiritual care and religious services for patients at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center , a New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) facility. This is a part-time, on-site contract role supporting both inpatient and outpatient populations.

Expected Hours: Up to 52 hours per month (approximately 12 hours/week )
Work Hours Window: Services must be provided within 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (schedule coordinated with the facility)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Jewish worship services, prayers, and religious observances
• Provide pastoral counseling, spiritual guidance, and emotional support to patients
• Visit and support patients during crisis situations, serious illness, and end-of-life circumstances (as needed)
• Provide religious education and group discussions/programming when appropriate
• Coordinate with clinical teams and facility leadership to support patient care
• Assist with religious materials/supplies and maintain basic service records/logs as required
• Follow OMH facility rules related to safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct

Required Qualifications

• Rabbi in good standing with appropriate training and experience
• Ecclesiastical endorsement from the official endorsing body of your faith/denomination (required and must be maintained)
• Ability to work professionally in a psychiatric/behavioral health setting with diverse populations
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and reliability
• Ability to pass required facility screening/onboarding requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hospital chaplaincy, institutional ministry, behavioral health, or similar setting
• Experience leading group sessions and structured faith-based programming
• Comfortable collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
