Job Description

Build Something That Lasts. Including Your Career.

At Nunn Construction , we don’t just build buildings — we build people, relationships, and communities.

We're looking for a motivated, long-term Project Manager who takes pride in their work and relationships.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong drive for results.

If you take pride in your work, hold people accountable, and believe in doing things the right way — you’ll fit right in here.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and Manage Projects from preconstruction through closeout — ensuring quality, schedule, and budget goals are achieved.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage job cost tracking, forecasting, change orders, contingency and allowance tracking, and labor resources.
  • Contract Management: Administer owner contracts, write and manage subcontracts, and oversee change order processes.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain CPM schedules, facilitate pull planning, and hold subcontractors accountable for schedule commitments.
  • Operations Coordination: Oversee RFI, procurement, and submittal processes; ensure project documentation accuracy.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor Project Engineers, Assistant PMs, and collaborate closely with Superintendents to keep field operations fully supported.
  • Owner & Architect Relations: Build trust-based relationships through consistent, transparent communication and problem-solving.
  • Meetings: Lead and document weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings.
  • Business Development: Participate in interviews to help Nunn win new work and represent the company professionally in the community.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Prior experience as a Project Engineer (RFIs, submittals, etc.) required.
  • No more than 2 employers in 5 years and no more than 3 employers in 10 years.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • 2–10 years of experience as a Project Manager on commercial projects — especially K-12 schools, higher education, healthcare, municipal, or advanced manufacturing/technology.
  • Must be a U.S. resident with strong professional references.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance – eligible the first of the month after 60 days.
  • Healthcare & Dependent Care FSA – available after 60 days.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): 3 weeks per year (accrues at 2.31 hours per week starting on day one).
  • Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), and Christmas.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: Eligible the first of the month after 6 months.
  • 100% company match on the first 4% of salary (and bonus).
  • Immediate 100% vesting of employee and company contributions.
  • Short & Long-Term Disability Insurance: Eligible after 6 months.
  • Car Allowance & Gas Card Provided.
  • Potential Relocation Allowance.
  • Fiscal Year-End Bonus: Typically 0–15% of annual salary, based on company and individual performance.
  • First-year bonus prorated based on months of service.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • A culture built on trust, integrity, and teamwork — not just talk.
  • Projects that make a visible impact in our communities.
  • Career growth opportunities into Senior Project Managers and Project Executive roles.
  • A leadership team that supports your success in and out of the field.
