Procurement Sourcing Contract Negotiation Manager
Location: Princeton, NJ hybrid (possible remote for a rockstar) Top skills:
• Strong category strategy and category management specifically within commodities
• Role is really focused on negotiations and working within contracts and directly with the vendors (understand the category - i.e. transportation – do research and understand it, etc.)
• Take a category understand it, understand the market intelligence, determine the category strategy
• Not only looking for RFQ (although this is 1 part of the process - end result of the strategy)
• Negotiating contacts, reviewing contracts in order to strengthen them, think outside the box - how do we look at the contract and negotiate its favors to the company
• Creative thinking, innovative, providing insights, bring in new ideas, pivot outside the box, strategic but maybe add this to the contract, strategize
• Day1 for this person – look at the contract for review – make recommendations on how they could make the contracts better (i.e. its missing this/that, add KPIs, add this to make it stronger, etc.) - need a “procurement professional” – what would you add to a contract from a procurement side/aspect
