*** This is a contract position onsite/ 40 hours a week in Bentonville, AR. Must reside in the area.***

DecoPac Inc., a leader in cake decorations and bakery supplies, is seeking a talented Freelance Commercial Photographer to capture the essence of celebration through compelling imagery. Located in Bentonville, AR, we are a dynamic company focused on designing, marketing, and distributing top-tier bakery products across North America. This freelance opportunity allows creative professionals to contribute to a variety of projects including product photography, editorial shoots, and event coverage that highlight our vibrant brand and offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute high-quality photography assignments for products, people, events, and locations on a freelance basis.
  • Collaborate with the Design and Development Department as well as Sales and Marketing teams to align images with company goals.
  • Manage both studio and on-location photo shoots, ensuring optimal lighting, composition, and styling.
  • Retouch images, handle color correction, and prepare files for print and digital platforms.
  • Organize, archive, and maintain a comprehensive digital image asset library for easy retrieval and consistent branding.
  • Contribute to creative concept development and assist with product styling and art direction as needed.
  • Adhere to food safety protocols by promptly reporting any concerns related to product packaging or handling during shoots.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a commercial photographer with a strong portfolio showcasing food, tabletop, and product photography.
  • Proficiency in digital photography technology and editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
  • Understanding of both CMYK and RGB color workflows to ensure accurate image reproduction across formats.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines independently.
  • Creative problem-solving aptitude and ability to communicate effectively across teams.
  • Relevant educational background in photography or visual arts preferred.

Working Conditions:

This is a freelance position offering flexibility in scheduling with responsibilities that include both studio and on-location work. Candidates should be able to handle occasional lifting of equipment and props up to 10 pounds and have the vision and stamina necessary for detailed, high-quality photographic work.
