Job Description

Overview: The primary function of the Spiritual Care Chaplain Call (PRN) position is to help maintain 24-hour availability of pastoral care to emergent clinical situations. This PRN Chaplain position will normally function in an on-call capacity when staff chaplains are not immediately available. The PRN chaplain provides pastoral / spiritual care to patients, families and staff according to ethical standards of practice for chaplains and counselors. Will participate in on-call rotation with other chaplains. Works collaboratively and as a liaison between pastoral care department and other Carle and non-Carle businesses, organizations, and personnel. Responsibilities: Provide direct Spiritual Care to patients, staff and families. Clarifies value issues with patients, families and staff to support ethical practices/decisions. Assist in coordination of Spiritual Care for hospital. Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is $24.32per hour - $40.61per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
