Job Description

Russell Tobin Scientific is seeking a Mechanical Lab Technician for an American multinational conglomerate operating in the fields of industry, worker safety, healthcare, and consumer goods.

Job Title: Mechanical Lab Technician

Location: St. Paul, MN (on-site)

Job Type: Contract

Length: 12-Months

Hours: 7am – 4pm, Mon-Fri

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.40 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Supporting new product development through:
• Product testing and evaluation of abrasive products
• Documenting and transfer of collected data and test results
• Acquiring and preparing test samples and substrates
• Assisting engineers in test development
• Running robotic and automated test equipment
• Position is a support role requiring more work direction whereby worker follows generally defined procedures.

Requirements:

• Experience in a lab or technical environment is preferred.
• Must be computer literate with good communication and time management skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands on experience with tools, equipment, or related creative arts.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Computer literate with functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work both independently with direction and within a team
• Robot/CNC programming skills or interest is preferred
• Technical associate degrees or similar technical training associated is preferred
