Job Title: Mechanical Drafter – Commercial Building Systems

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings and construction documents for fire protection systems using AutoCAD and/or Revit any experience in HydraCad is a HUGE plus.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other drafters to develop coordinated and code-compliant design packages.
• Interpret mechanical design specifications, schematics, and markups to produce accurate layouts and detail drawings.
• Revise and update drawings based on redlines, field data, and design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain organized project documentation and drawing files per company and client standards.
• Assist with clash detection, layout optimization, and coordination with other trades.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to local building codes, fire protection standards (e.g., NFPA), and project-specific requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
-ANY level of NICET certification will have a huge leg up!
• Experience working on commercial buildings , hospitals, schools, or industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and local building/fire codes.
• BIM coordination experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Navisworks, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
