Job Description

Amerco Real Estate Company is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Commercial Leasing Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for managing leasing activities across our commercial property portfolio in the U.S. and Canada. Responsibilities include property listing, negotiating lease agreements, maintaining strong tenant relationships, and maximizing occupancy and revenue.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in commercial real estate leasing, strong customer service skills, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and a well-organized and detail-oriented approach to managing deals simultaneously. This is a full-time, in-person position in Midtown Phoenix, business travel may be required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Market and lease available commercial properties to qualified tenants to ensure maximum occupancy and rental income.
  • Manage property listings using the CoStar platform and other marketing resources.
  • Interact with prospective tenants and perform necessary due diligence, including credit checks, background checks, and collecting pertinent financial information to present to key decision-makers.
  • Negotiate new leases, renewals, and amendments directly with prospective and existing tenants, ensuring favorable terms for the property owner.
  • Prepare, review, and manage lease documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong tenant relationships to encourage lease renewals and resolve tenant concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to determine appropriate rental rates and leasing strategies.
  • Use Yardi daily to track lease activities, maintain accurate records of tenant communications, and update property occupancy status.
  • Collaborate with property management, legal, and accounting teams to ensure accurate execution of leases and proper tenant account management.

  • Assist in preparing reports and forecasts related to leasing performance and occupancy trends.
  • Coordinate with local teams for site tours, property inspections, and tenant improvement discussions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Real Estate License (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding leasing goals.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial lease terms, real estate law, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong tenant and broker relationships.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with property management or CRM software a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
