Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Inventory Management Contract with a direct client in Ashburn VA 20147

Pay Range: $23 - $25/hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Job Title: Inventory Management

Location: Ashburn VA 20147

Duration: 12 + months

  • Experience with an inventory management system
  • Experience with MS Office tools (primarily Excel)

Excel proficient (Vlookups & Pivot Tables)

Generates variety of standard reports.

• Manage quarterly spares audits within defined schedules.

• Support / manage local shipping needs for various program needs.

• Coordinate/organize/track shipping and receiving within the program.

• Ship equipment utilizing the software to support customer requirements.

May require support during off-hours and overtime. Within parameters, determines routing and arrangements for shipments, considering such factors as nature of items being shipped, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost. Prepares and maintains records of products shipped and tracks shipments. Receives incoming materials, unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications. Maintains records of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents. Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks upon receipt of internal certification. Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements. May perform wood shop functions such as operating power saws and nail guns in building skids and crates.
