Job Description

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Legal Specialist (Client’s parlance for Litigation Paralegal) for a global medical device manufacturer. The Interim Legal Specialist’s case load will involve a wide variety of matters, including product liability, employment, commercial, and intellectual property cases, as well as government investigations.

Overview: Our client seeks a skilled Legal Specialist for a six-month assignment.

Company: Our client is a publicly traded medical device manufacturer with a broad array of products in areas ranging from cardiology to neurology to gastroenterology.

Experience: Three or more years of complex litigation experience acquired in a top law firm or in-house environment (ideally life scienced or medical device).

Location: Hybrid; Three days per week at the Client’s Arden Hills, Minnesota location.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist the Client’s internal and external counsel with case investigation, summaries, and timelines.
• Assist the Client’s internal and external counsel with witness and deposition preparation.
• Direct discovery process and ensure all documentary evidence is accounted for and catalogued.
• Summarizing case developments and preparing reports related to same.
• Assist with trial preparation.

Qualifications Include:

• Excellent academic and professional credentials including a baccalaureate degree from a well-respected university.
• Three or more years’ experience as a litigation paralegal handling complex litigation acquired in a top law firm and/or in-house environment.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with AI tools applicable to legal analysis, with demonstrated ability to enhance efficiency and accuracy in legal workflows.
• Fastidious attention to detail in oral and written communication.
