Job Description

I am working with a growing client who is looking for a senior-level executive to work closely with the CEO of a growing residential real estate development company. This individual will serve as a strategic partner and operational leader, responsible for overseeing current business operations and driving new development initiatives from inception through completion. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of leadership in real estate development and the ability to manage cross-functional teams, external partners, and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the CEO’s strategic partner in overseeing day-to-day business operations.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of new development projects once deals are finalized, including land acquisition, entitlements, permitting, environmental review, construction, and delivery.
  • Oversee coordination with external stakeholders such as attorneys, environmental consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and local municipalities.
  • Drive the legal and permitting process, including land use approvals, zoning, and compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Run and grow new business initiatives, including managing leasing activities and overseeing rental operations.
  • Direct and manage site operations, including cleaning staff, porters, and facility services.
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor and partner relationships to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor financial performance, budgets, and timelines to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within scope.
  • Identify new opportunities for business growth and expansion in the residential development sector.
  • Build, mentor, and lead internal teams to support company growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in residential real estate development, construction, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of the full development lifecycle: land acquisition, entitlements, legal approvals, permitting, design, construction, leasing, and turnover.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience in project budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Compensation: Competitive salary and performance-based incentives, commensurate with experience.
