Plumbing Mechanical Estimator (Special Projects & Renovation)

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Plumbing Mechanical Estimator to join our team, focused on renovation, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects - not ground-up construction. This role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands existing building conditions, and can deliver accurate, detailed estimates to support our special projects group.

What you'll be doing:

• Prepare detailed take-offs and cost estimates for plumbing and mechanical scopes on retrofit and renovation projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and existing site conditions to develop clear and accurate proposals.
• Attend pre-bid walkthroughs and collaborate with project managers on constructability and phasing.
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor pricing and evaluate bids for accuracy.
• Provide value engineering options and ensure alignment with budget and scope.
• Support project turnover by reviewing awarded scopes with operations.

What we need:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in plumbing or mechanical construction (special projects or renovations preferred).
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, existing building conditions, and retrofit challenges.
• Proficiency in estimating/take-off software (QuoteSoft, FastPIPE, Bluebeam, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Degree or trade background in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
