Duration: 6-month contract
Location: Hybrid- Charlottesville, VA - Must be comfortable with going onsite at least once a week
We are seeking a Microsoft Cloud Engineer to support the configuration, rollout, and ongoing support of our Microsoft cloud environment. This role will be hands-on across Microsoft 365, Azure, MDM, storage, and server-related services, with a strong focus on implementation, testing, and troubleshooting as new solutions are rolled out.
This is a technical, execution-focused role for someone who is comfortable working across the full Microsoft cloud and infrastructure stack.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and related collaboration tools
• Assist with SharePoint (InPoint) rollouts, configuration, and user enablement
• Support MDM / Intune configurations for device and endpoint management
• Work with Azure services including storage, identity, and cloud infrastructure components
• Support server and hybrid environments as they integrate with Microsoft cloud services
• Troubleshoot issues across Microsoft 365, Azure, storage, and identity
• Test configurations and solutions prior to production rollout
• Partner with internal teams to implement and support cloud initiatives
• Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps as needed
Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 configuration and administration
• Experience working with Azure (storage, identity, cloud infrastructure concepts)
• Knowledge of MDM / Intune and device management
• Experience supporting server or hybrid environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting cloud rollouts and implementations
