Job Summary

Chemical Laboratory Technician supports the Architectural, Colorants, and Adhesives team by conducting product performance testing in both laboratory and field settings. This role includes mechanical performance testing, stability analysis, and wet state analytics. The position involves testing coatings and adhesive samples for film performance and exterior durability.

Job Description

• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Load and package finished chemical products into drums and sacks
  
• Support chemical production processes and manufacturing operations as assigned
  
• Complete daily production and safety documentation accurately and on time
  
• Follow proper safety procedures and wear required PPE, including goggles and face shields
  
• Identify and report safety hazards or process irregularities to supervisors
  
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area (strong housekeeping skills required)
  
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
  
• Be available for overtime and flexible scheduling, including rotating shifts

Skills Required

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 55 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, hands-on industrial environments
• Strong commitment to safety, attendance, and teamwork
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required
• Basic knowledge of SAP is a plus
• Prior experience in chemical handling or production is preferred
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and additional medical exams (details provided upon request)
• Experience in chemical processing or related industries
• Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting production equipment
• Previous forklift certification or experience operating powered industrial vehicles

Education

• Highschool diploma or GED

Additional requirements

• Schedule: M-F 6am-2:30pm

Pay Rate

• $19.00 per hour
