Akkodis is seeking Aircraft Installers/Overhaul Technicians for Contract-to-HIRE position with a direct client in Carson, CA.

• Pay Range: $21.50 per hour, possibly higher. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
• Location: Carson, CA
• Duration: Contract-to-Hire (6+ months to Hire)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Performs maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers' instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA. Inspector(s) are responsible for performing preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process and final inspections on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers' instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs maintenance and alteration tasks on manufactured products in accordance with approved documentation.
• Utilizes assembly tools, equipment, and mechanical and visual aids applicable to the scope of work assigned.
• Understands the methods, techniques and practices outlined in the manufacturer's maintenance documents, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, service letters, specifications, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
• Applies and handles sealants and adhesives.
• Keeps assigned areas organized and clean.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Participates in FAA Drug and Alcohol Program.
• Requires little to no experience in discipline
• Conducts routine tasks as directed

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in aircraft assembly, maintenance or repair.

Computer Skills:

• Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience using an ERP System preferred.

Other Skills:

• Must possess basic math skills and be able to comprehend varying units of measure
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, and take initiative
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
• Ability to read, comprehend written and process specification documents
• Computer skills to access CMM's, drawings, etc.
• Specific FAA required training
• Effective oral and written communications skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail
• Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate.
